Purchase, NY- Mountain

the 2nd nnual Mountain Dew Free Flow Tour will bring amateur Skateboarding
contests to eighteen top U.S. skateparks this summer. From May through
September 2003, ocal up-and-coming skaters from each region will again
be invited to show off their skills at the Free Flow Tour's jam-style
contests and possibly earn a spot on ountain Dew's nationally recognized
Free Flow Skateboard Team.

"The Mountain
Dew Free Flow Tour is about onnecting with amateur skaters at local skateparks
across the country and giving them the recognition they deserve for their
dedication to the sport," says Pepsi Marketing Manager Heidi Sandreuter.
"We are excited to bring back the Free Flow Tour for its second year
because it extends our impact far beyond our longtime X Games and Vans
Triple Crown Series partnerships, allowing us to support skateboarding
at the grassroots level."
After its successful
debut last summer, this year's Mountain Dew Free Flow Tour expects to
draw undreds of enthusiastic participants and spectators to each of its
eighteen scheduled stops. A judging panel sometimes including Mountain
Dew-sponsored pro skaters Pat Channita and Rune Glifberg - will select
three overall winners at each tour stop (one per age bracket: Boy's 12-15,
16-18, 19 and up & Girl's 12 and up) to become official members of
the Mountain Dew Free Flow Skateboard Team. Winners will receive lucrative
prize packages including a $250 'skate scholarship', promotional product
from Tour partners, plenty of free Mountain Dew and they will be featured
on www.mountaindew.com.
All participating
skaters, regardless of whether or not they earn a spot on the Free Flow
Skateboard Team, will take home cool Mountain Dew Free Flow Tour giveaways
and they will be invited to post event parties where visiting professional
skaters will sign autographs and distribute free skateboard gear and cans
of Mountain Dew.
While traveling from
city to city in a custom designed RV, the Mountain Dew Free Flow Tour's
four-man road crew - all accomplished skaters themselves - will visit
retail shops and other skate spots across the nation to hang with local
kids and spread positive skateboarding energy.
